18/06: Volunteers Send Reports
I have always known that we have fantastic students but I am really impressed. I received two reports from our Dvorak volunteers. Fantastic reports. Frankly, when I was sending the download links I only hoped I would get at least the information about how long it took to complete the Dvorak course and whether they are content with it or not.
Instead, I received detailed, good-humored stories of learning the Dvorak layout with smart ideas and reasonable critical comments.
Generally speaking, everyone is quite happy with the result and the course itself. However, typing speed hasn't increased much after the course. It's quite predictable. It's a matter of practice. And one of our goals is to provide such practice.

16/06: Is it Feasible?
Olga, our Italian editor, received an e-mail from a professional typist. I always admire professionals who follow the state-of-the-art trends in what they are doing. That's among other things which make them professionals.
So, he wrote to us that the stated typing speed of 100 WPM is impossible for a non-professional typist. I suspect that all the fuss is about this mythical WPM entity. Strictly speaking, there is no such a thing as WPM, it's an avearge indicator.

The day has started positively. I received a mail from the student in Italy.
The first part is about the errors he found in the Italian version (it is very kind of him and this info comes in the nick of time - we will sure correct this on the CD).
The second part of the mail read:
I get the impression that you are doing your work believing in what you do and with a big passion.
It's not the good words that I enjoyed (although it's sure nice to read), but I am absolutely happy that Meir (that's actually the name of the student) has grasped the message we wanted to communicate - WE BELIEVE. We believe that we are doing the right thing. And it's fantastic when our students DO BELIEVE too. I am sure Meir will do fine with the course. He has the right approach to the studies.

25/04: Speed Increasing Package

No matter how good and effective the typing tutor is, it has one goal – to teach the basics of touch typing. Methodical typing speed increase is a separate task. Our students demand an independent Speed Increasing Package. I tend to agree. We have to set a goal and make a plan of achieving it.
One of our students sent his ideas of such a course. They boil down to this.
